ABOUT US

With the mandate to coordinate with all the Departments in the Provincial Government to create doable programs, projects and activities that are designed to attain the Province’s vision, dubbed: “Camarines Norte is the Queen Pineapple capital of the Philippines and a vital link to the Asia Pacific Region blessed with a richly diverse ecology and empowered citizenry working in harmony towards an inclusive and vibrant economy supported by resilient infrastructure and guided by pro-active, capable and honest public servants,” the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) made every year a fruitful one. The Provincial Government, through the Provincial Land use Committee (PLUC) headed by the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator received the ratified Provincial Development and Physical Framework Plan from the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD). The PDPFP will serve as the Province’s framework for physical and development planning until CY 2040, with its alignment to the Ambition Natin 2040 of the national Government. The PPDO had also been a big part of various Regional Awards, such as the Outstanding Provincial Project Monitoring Committee in the Bicol Region, Exemplary Leadership in I-PLAN component of the Philippine Rural Development Project, Outstanding Partner in Statistical Planning, Policy and Coordination (LGU Category), and last but not the least, the prestigious Seal of Good Local Governance given by the Department of the Interior and Local Government. In this year’s SGLG recognition, the province of Camarines Norte is the lone provincial passer

in the Bicol Region.
